I just had an urge for a chocolate shake.

You know those urges you get late in the evening that say "Yeah, that would go over perfectly right now."

I had one hit me for a chocolate shake, so I did what I so often do, and that is run around the corner to the Jack in the Box.

This particular JIB occassionally screws up the order (I am sure they teach 'em that in drive up window school), but no more than any other fast food joint. As I said, it is occassional, unlike my late night flights to this particular JIB.

    But that all ended tonight.

In the interest of fair disclosure I must divulge that I once worked for Jack in the Box, as a "Mystery Guest" which was a program they had inhouse that other companies call "Secret Shoppers". I had fun at that job, driving to the various JIBs and running the scenarios the schedule had laid out for me and then reporting in to give the man on the street perspective.

The program ended while I was in it, and now they just hand out receipts with a chance to win money if you call in and give your opinion.

I always wondered if me working for them had any bearing on their decision....

Anyway, this JIB is staffed with what seems to be all latinos, and I asked the manager if they would be open tomorrow. He said "No".

"Why?" I asked, knowing that this could get ugly.

"Nobodies coming in. I'm not even coming in."

    "Why not" I pressed.

"We're going on revolucion." he loudly exclaimed.

"Cool, got the corporate number?" I asked

He pointed out the number for customers on teh window and said "right there"....I said "Never mind, you guys have fun on your protest, it'll make a great statement, I used to work for JIB corporate, I'll give the office a call myself."
    And I drove off.

Jack in the Box is now added to the ever growing list of companies that I refuse to do business with, right alongside "Target" (refuses to support veterans ogranizations) Smart'n'Final (french owned) several other french owned companies and Wal Mart (hate to deal with their clientele out here, can afford better so I shop better).

Jack in the Box corporate will be hearing from me in the morning....I hope they hear from you too.
I was just at a major local park that includes a dam complex, and noticed about 38 ICE vehicles with about 15 Sherrifs Department busses in a locked parking lot. There were two helicopters that had been landed there also and some of those light APCs that the military uses to move troops through war zones.

I asked one of the deputies what the deal was, and he said "The deal with what? I don't see anything."

This boycott tomorrow in L.A. is going to get very interesting.

Did anyone else notice that the cops are being really nice in helping to block off streets and herd people into certain areas?

The planned route down Wilshire from MacArthur park to La Brea is easily an area that could be cordoned off with the right amount of troops and some strategic planning.

    Viva La Revolucion my ass!!!!
Reposted from April 5th. In honor of the fact that alleged millions of people that support criminals are planning to basically commit what amounts to treason by trying to attack the economic viability of the United States tomorrow I am going to state again that I agree with this boycott, but not because I agree with the ideals of those organizing this action or think that we should reward millions of criminals in our midst, but because this boycott is going to backfire on these people, and the disruption they cause to millions of LEGAL CITIZENS who, in the course of living their legal lives of doing their duty to make this country great are goiing to have to endure millions of whiny criminals and their supporters blocking the streets and taking up airtime on our TV's, making their day that much harder.

Anyone that takes the day off to protest should be fired. But that may only happen in a handful of cases. On the other hand, this protest is going to hurt the educations of the kids that are out in the middle of this, and that is fine by me.

Outlined beloew is my support for this boycott. As far as I am concerned these people can boycott for the rest of their lives. They are much cheaper to hire when they are legal citizens without a decent education.

    I Agree with the Boycott

That's right, I agree with the boycott.

    Especially for the kids.

Everybody listen up, on May 1st stay home from school.

Do NOT go to school. Stay home and sleep, go protest and work on that car in your driveway while hanging clothes on the line tied between the apartment building and the dead tree, and I will tell you why:

Because when you stay home from school your school loses valuable money that is used to educate your stupid asses, and maybe if your education drops to a low enough level you will be forever stuck cleaning the toilets, washing the cars and mowing the lawns of the people that know what it means to be an American, and your lower economic status will be assured, hence your power in society will be limited to threatening to leave the rest of us with long grass and dirty dishes at the restaurant.

So stay home, little latino children, and make sure your stupid friends of whatever color do the same.....stay home, stay stupid, do the American citizens that understand what it means to be American a favor....I can pay you a hell of a lot less that way.
    the stoopidpats have disabled comments!!!

    Bwahahahah
Gatorade's new "Rain" version of their sports drink, the Lime flavored one, tastes what I imagine Lemon Pledge would taste like if I were to be stupid enough to drink it.

    My advice; Don't buy it!!!
In a move that surprised nobody that was paying attention, California legislators, in a vote of 24-13 that split along party lines passed a resolution that supports the planned nationwide boycott by criminal aliens and their supporters.

SACRAMENTO - State senators on Thursday endorsed Monday's boycott of schools, jobs and stores by illegal immigrants and their allies as supporters equated the protest with great social movements in American history.

By a 24-13 vote that split along party lines, the Senate approved a resolution that calls the one-day protest the Great American Boycott 2006 and describes it as an attempt to educate Americans "about the tremendous contribution immigrants make on a daily basis to our society and economy."

"It's one day ... for immigrants to tell the country peacefully, 'We matter ... (we're) not invisible,'" said Senate Majority Leader Gloria Romero, D-Los Angeles, the resolution's chief author. She said immigrants make up a third of California's labor force and a quarter of its residents.

So teh Democrats now hate business so much that they want them to lose millions of dollars in revenue in their never ending quest for more votes. Apparently they think so little of the legal citizens of the country they help guide that they feel safe passing a resolution that basically states "Criminal aliens are here to stay, and we don't have the intestinal fortitude to remove them."

    Asshats!!!
...due to the fact that a show I have been promoting is on tonight. My doorman and security guys bailed on me, (can you believe people are bailing on paying gigs?) and now the venue for tomorrow night added in a band an moved everyone back 45 minutes.

Load in and sound check is at 6, doors open about 7:30 and the show starts at 8:30, so I have a long night ahead of me. This is one of Rick Kurek's last shows in the southland for the foreseeable future, as he is moving to London soon, so if you're a fan of Rick's get down to the Joint tonight.

I wish to thank everyone for their comments and emails regarding this post. The comments that surmised that the arguments below are indicative of the criminal aliens that are marching in our streets and demanding non-existent rights are correct in realizing that these are the very arguments they use, but I am placing a twist on these arguments, and using them for another issue entirely that will serve to highlight just how hollow the arguments are.

Instead of illegal immigration, make these arguments apply to a kidney transplant.

All I want is a better life for myself.

Criminal aliens are stating that this is all about a better life for themselves, and so am I.

But they say it will take up to ten years before I can do that legally, but that is ten years I cannot afford to wait.

The wait for a kidney transplant is 7-10 years, but if I can find someone whose kidney matches mine and steal it from them, I should be allowed to do so, and if you say otherwise you are a hateful cretin that wishes bad health on me.

What about my family? They are suffering right along with me.

This is about family unity. I can no longer travel easily with my family, and being in need of a transplant is tearing the unity of my family apart.

My employer is getting a raw deal too......I can't do all the work he wants me to do and because of the laws he can't do anything about it.....How's that fair to him?

The criminal aliens employers must, on some level, fear that they may be prosecuted for their continued criminal activity of employing those that are not here legally, and my employer is under similar stress, for with my "disability" he cannot fire me for missing work and slowing down, because I am "disabled" and thus protected.

And what about all of the other people just like me? They all simply want a better life for themselves also......But some of them aren't going to be able to get it....Some of them, they say, aren't eligible and so they will have to just live with it.

The people like me, on dialysis, that simply want a better life are also entitled to "find" a kidney against the will of the donor. Those that have other medical problems are also entitled to secure those things they may need to improve their life, and you have no right to say otherwise.

You know what? It doesn't matter what they say......I deserve it, I am entitled to it, it is my right as a human, and I am not gonna let anyone stand in my way.....I am gonna go get what is mine, and I don't care about the laws that state I can't do it......you can't stop me, do you understand me?

    I am entitled.

Now, the arguments that those that support open borders are making, when placed in another equally absurd light ring rather hollow, don't they?
In a press release dated today, Sunday, April 23rd, the Council on American Islamic Relations, or CAIR, a group with ties to terrorist groups that has been fighting to trick the citizens of the United States into believing that they are a peaceful organization and not chasing the dream of Sharia Law showed once again that the only people they will laud are those that bow to them and accept the role of dhimmi on their knees.

Peace Group's Aim: Praising Va. Man, Not Blaming Killers

Tom Fox lived for peace but died a violent death, shot multiple times, his body dumped in a trash-strewn Baghdad neighborhood after he was kidnapped.

Yet colleagues of the Virginia peace activist suggested absolution for his killers yesterday at a memorial service that celebrated his life. Titled "Reflections on Compassion and Forgiveness," the service featured a black banner in Fox's memory: "To those who held Tom we declare: God has forgiven you."

It was the message of Christian Peacemaker Teams, the Toronto- and Chicago-based peace group that Fox served in Iraq after he quit his job running a grocery store in Springfield. The Rev. Carol Rose, the organization's co-director, told more than 200 of Fox's friends and colleagues that the banner was hung in Baghdad after his body was discovered last month. . .

Inside the church, there were a few tears but more smiles as speakers recalled Fox's courage and commitment. They remembered him as kind and quiet, a man who rarely raised his voice but had a yell that sounded like Kermit the Frog when he did. Fox's license plate and e-mail address, they said, contained the words "inner light."

Emily Smith, a representative of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said Fox's work reflected the close ties between Muslims and the Christian peacekeeping community. "All of us, people of many faiths, have been touched by Tom's life and death," she said.

From Tucson today comes the news that the ACLU is not going to be able to kick the Minutemen Corps. off of public trust land.

Ray Ybarra of the ACLU wanted the Arizona State Land Department to send the Minutemen packing, because we all know that the ACLU just can't stand the fact that there are Patriots at the border, doing the job the government won't do while stemming the flow of criminal aliens that feed the great beast of socialism that drives the wet dreams and fondest fantasies of the ACLU.

As it turns out, people did have permits, and those that didn't have them promised to get them online.

On Tuesday, deputy state Land Commissioner Richard Hubbard called it a misunderstanding by the employee. He said the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteers were invited by the landowners to do ranch work in addition to their patrols, which gives them the right to be there.
"They are authorized to be there under the terms of the lease," Hubbard said.
Ranch owner Pat King, whose ranch includes some state trust land that she leases, said she has a contract with the group for the volunteers to monitor cattle, pick up trash and fix fences on her property, King's Anvil Ranch.
She called the ACLU members misguided, out-of-town youngsters who don't understand what people- and drug smugglers have done to her land and the valley.
"Those American Civil Liberties Union persons up there are not concerned about me at all," King said. "So they are not really the American Civil Liberties Union are they? Because they don't give a darn about what has happened to my constitutional rights to property."

No, Pat, the ACLU could give not one ounce of care about you, your situation or your freedom to conduct business. They only care about letting criminal aliens sneak into this country to usurp our sovereignty and steal our resources.

Ybarra and about 60 other volunteers have been monitoring the Minuteman volunteers since they began their patrol April 1. The wrangling is the latest in a series of nonphysical skirmishes between the groups.
Ybarra says the volunteers shine high-powered flashlights on them as they drive by. O'Connell accuses the ACLU of berating and harassing them on their patrols and of interfering with Border Patrol apprehensions. He said the group will consider legal action.

Well what a dingdang surprise that is....the ACLU will consider legal action.

Let me tell you something, I am firmly convinced the members of the ACLU consider legal action if their paper is late in the morning, when they don't get a receipt for their 8 dollar latte or when their panties just get too wadded up. I have never seen a group that was so blasted sue happy, and wish to remind you fine people of that old saying:

When the revolution comes it will be the lawyers that will be first against the wall.

The open borders groups in the United States that are working hand in hand with Socialist Workers groups and Communist factions, and are advocating no less than policies that will substantially weaken our country, endanger our citizenry, lower our standard of living and threaten the health of our children are hoping that you, dear citizen, are too busy shopping and watching American Idol to pay attention to what is happening under your noses and too apathetic to get out there and stop it.

Luckily, millions of American Citizens have recognized what is occurring, and have been flooding our representatives with letters, emails, faxes, phone calls and visits telling these elected officials exactly what we, the people that put them where they are, want done.

But we are not finished. If anything, we must ramp up our pressure on our elected officials, explaining to them why they should not cave to criminal factions that demand our laws be ignored and changed to cater to the legions of law breaking invaders that have flooded our country and flouted the very system that would see you and I in jail for being so brazen as to think that the law did not apply to us.

If the law applies, these people must return home and apply for visa's and citizenship the same way that millions of others have done it.

If the law doesn't not apply, which seems to be their reasoning, then due process and constitutional protections do not apply either, and mass round-ups and deportation should begin ASAP.

Countering the "talking points" of the open borders groups should be a high priority of the citizens of the United States, and to help you do just that when you call your elected representatives, below is a list of talking points from the website linked in the title.

Don’t Gut ‘Legalization’ Before It Starts
Dozens of hidden traps in the Senate and House bills sabotage the “legalization” programs and will exclude tens of thousands of people. This would undermine the very purpose of earned legalization, which is to encourage undocumented immigrants to come forward and become full members of American society.

Legalization should be earned the same way by all. One should apply for a visa or work permit, and immigrate to the country legally. We should not reward those that ignore our laws. It is not fair to those that do not ignore them.

Don’t Turn Our Local Police Into Federal Immigration Agents
Asking local law enforcement to ask those who look like immigrants about their immigration status would be a public safety disaster. It will lead to racial profiling and undermine community policing strategies that are aimed at building trust and solving local crimes. This is why police officials from across the country oppose this idea.

Our law enforcement is tasked with enforcing the laws of the land. If you were to kidnap a child and take them to another state, it becomes a Federal issue. The same goes with bank robbery, and we would not expect our local police to not apprehend a kidnapper or a bank robber simply because these crimes fall under the jurisdiction of authorities with broader powers than they possess. Simply put, our police forces should deal with crimes and criminals as they find them, and not catagorize them in 'local', 'state' or 'federal' concerns.

Let Every Person Have Their Day In Court
The Senate proposals put unchecked power in the hands of bungling bureaucrats in the Department of Homeland Security – the people who brought you the Katrina relief effort. Citizens, green card holders, and the undocumented could all be affected. Due process is the foundation of American justice and should be preserved for all.

How about this? Let every person have their day in line at the consulate? The Department of Homeland Security oversees Immigration Control and Enforcement (ICE, formerly INS), and ICE is tasked with securing our border and monitoring the people that enter and leave our country. We should let ICE handle that part of their responsibilities that is paramount to the protection of the citizens of this counrty, Control and Enforcement. Due process has strangled the system, making it virtually impossible to deport anyone, and has been wrongfully applied to the criminals that have snuck in here. Simply put, if you are not a legal citizen of this country, the rules, laws, rights, responsibilities and protections do NOT apply to you, you are under no obligation to serve in the military, have sworn no allegiance to this country and therefore do not enjoy the protections that go hand in hand with the duties of the American citizen.

Stop Cruel Deportations – Keep Families Together and Communities Strong
The Senate and House bills will rip families apart by permanently separating children from parents and spouses from each other, often for minor infractions for which deportation is an unfair and excessive punishment. The government would send back countless families seeking safety from war, persecution, and violence.

Children of parents that are here illegally should go with their parents, and should be given teh option of returning when they are 18 if they so choose to become a full fledged citizen of this country. Canada specifically has a law that states if your parents are not legal citizens at the time of your birth then you are not a citizen of Canada. Why can't we enact that? Deportation for being here illegally is not excessive or unfair, but is the natural and expected consequence for being here illegally. Unfair and excessive punishment for being in the country illegally would be taking people out back and shooting them in the head. I am not in favor of that. However I am in favor of placing those that sneak in here illegally at the back of the line, and making sure that the line is at least three years long. If there are no consequences for your actions then what is to stop people from taking any action they please?

    Build Bridges Not Jails
Immigration reform should bring immigrants out of the shadows, not consign them to mandatory detention and deportation. Locking innocent people up in jails and military bases without meaningful review – even those who pose no flight risk or danger to the community – is not the American way.

We cannot hammer this point home enough. People that sneak into our country and ignore our laws and flout our immigration system aARE NOT INNOCENT!!!! As stated before, if you are going to ignore our laws and systems, proving that you don't believe they apply to you, then obviously the protections that go along with those laws do not apply to you either, therefore due process does not apply, and you have no right to a hearing. You cannot pick and choose which laws apply to you, either they all do, or none of them do. The "Amercian Way" is the way of law and order, fairness and justice.....even our President has to wait in line at McDonalds, and if that fact doesn't explain our system to you, then nothing I say will.

    Choose Freedom, Not Fear
We are at a crossroads in America. We have to make a choice about what kind of a country we want to be. Do we want to live with pre-dawn raids on innocent families, Federal agents crawling through our communities, armed military camps, thousands of deaths along our walled borders? Or will we support a positive vision of America made strong, secure, and vibrant by full participation of immigrant families?

They are correct. We are at a crossroads in this country, and here is the kind of country that I want. I want a country that respects the rule of law, watches out for her citizens and protects them from those that would do them harm. I want a country that fears nothing because it is strong enough to defend itself against those that would see it fall. I want a country that is wise enough to realize that life isn't fair, and that you can only raise up so many people before the weight starts to drag you down, and raising up those that you have a first responsibility to is your highest calling and your first duty and shows whether you have the wisdom to lead the people that placed you in power, or if you are indeed a pandering coward whose legacy will be one of appeasement ridicule.

Those that have broken our laws, and refuse to adhere to them and demand special treatment are not "Americans" at heart, in practice or in reality, and never will be. Americans are a law abiding and noble people, and those that don't understand that do not deserve a shot at the American Dream, because part of the American Dream is BEING an AMERICAN, and helping to make this country great, and there is nothing great about being a criminal!!!!
From La Raza comes the entertaining and downright false "Common Myths About Undocumented Immigrants".

Just a quick note about this, the emphasis is mine.

96% of "undocumented men" in the U.S. are employed, which exceeds the rate of legal immigrants and U.S. citizens by 15 percentage points.

So what they are saying here is that the rate of employed legal immigrants and U.S. citizens is 15 percentage points higher than the 3% unemployment rate of criminal aliens? So that would mean that unemployment is around 18%.

OK....that bitch went down in flames.

    Next;

The Social Security Administration reports that it holds approximately $420 BILLION from the earnings of immigrants who are not in a position to claim benefits.

Is it just me or is that one big freaking bag of change just waiting to finance a big ass wall and more ICE agents?

    Four Hundred and Twenty Billion.

We could finance another war with all of that chi-ching.

    What the hell?

    What do you think?
A Welfare State With Illegal Immigration Offers Businesses a Better Deal Than Slavery

by Darnell MaGavock at Indpendent Conservative

Let me start by saying I don’t endorse either slavery or illegal immigration. But looking at things from the economic standpoint of a company that hires illegals today versus the use of slave labor in the 18th and 19th centuries, illegal immigration offers companies a better deal than any slave owner ever had. The reason is the modern day welfare state that is known as America.

During American slavery, the slave owner was responsible for the total care of the slave. Although slave masters did this “on the cheap” they had to provide housing, food, clothing and medical care for the slave and their entire family. This resulted in the institution of slavery being more of a loss than gain over time. The only other option was to grant freedom to slaves who were a great expense, but that involved the strain of possibly breaking a family. Separating families often resulted in the other slaves trying harder to escape to be with loved ones. Non-profitable slaves were not sellable, because nobody else wanted the burden. This was the slave master’s dilemma, that people like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin figured out. They realized that slavery was not financially good over time - because the “free labor” was not really “free”, given the need to provide full care to the slave labor force. This was in addition to the expense of buying a slave in the first place.

Today’s employer of illegal immigrants does not have any of the hassles experienced by slave owners. The employer of illegals offers them a very small salary and no benefits. Which means such an employer never runs the risk of going cash-flow-negative on labor costs. They can adjust wages at will, because they will always find an illegal that is willing to accept the rate. This is the reason Cesar Chavez once disliked illegal immigration. If one set of illegals tried to “strike” for better wages, the company would simply replace them with new illegals that were willing to accept the pay rate offered to them.

So the employer of illegals has no direct issues with having to fund housing, medical or the expense of educating the children of illegal immigrants. These are expenses that American taxpayers have been funding. Government (funded by taxpayers) helps illegals secure home loans and encourages banks to give them out. Government (funded by taxpayers) is picking up the medical expenses of illegals. Government (funded by taxpayers) is educating the children of illegal aliens.

You may have seen the CNN Special “Immigrant Nation: Divided Nation”. If you did, you saw profiles of illegals that live in my county of Gwinnett Georgia. The show often tried to make granting amnesty to illegals look like a good thing, but like the slave master’s dilemma, even the tax paying illegals do not come close to covering the expenses involved in caring for them.

Excerpts from, Transcript of CNN Special Report - Immigrant Nation: Divided Nation

HINOJOSA: Ten years ago when I first came to Georgia, I asked people if there was a Latino neighborhood, or barrio. I got a lot of strange looks.

Now I’m here in the heart of just one of the many Latino barrios in Georgia. I can get some of the best tacos outside of Mexico right here 24 hours a day. The home of Martin Luther King, the state that gave us the civil rights movement, is now home to half a million Latinos, a 300 percent increase in a decade.

HINOJOSA: Estimates vary, but somewhere between 7 and 20 million people are living in this country illegally, one of the largest populations of undocumented immigrants in the world. Most of them come across this border. According to the U.S. government, over 1 million were caught last year alone.

This latest wave of immigrants has spread far beyond the southwest and the West Coast. Latino immigrant communities are now fixtures across the nation, especially in the south, in places like Gwinnett County, Georgia.

HINOJOSA: Rosa first came to Georgia two years ago, all alone.

Last year, unable to bear the separation any longer, Rosa paid a smuggler $5,000 to wade her children across the river at night, but they were caught at a checkpoint and immediately deported. Rosa faced a difficult decision.

ROSA (through translator): I told my daughter, you have two options. I either stay in Mexico with you, or I will leave for the States for another year in preparation to bring the two of you. Then my daughter told me to return to the States so I could bring them eventually.

HERCHEK: I’m afraid that America could become a third world country. We’re importing poverty by millions every year.

HINOJOSA (on camera): The numbers say it all. Ten years ago, these schools served very few Spanish-speaking students. In 2003, one out of 10 students listed Spanish as their primary language, $26 million will be spent in Gwinnett County in English language services.

HINOJOSA: Federal law says people are entitled to emergency medical care, whether or not they’re in this country legally. In one year Georgia paid $58 million in emergency Medicaid reimbursement for undocumented immigrants.

The smugglers will be paid almost $6,000 by Rosa if they were successful, would show border agents false papers for the children. They didn’t make it.

Despite their fake papers, Junior and Rosita were detained. The smugglers were arrested. The children were returned to Mexico and reunited with their grandmother. Despite the set back, Rosa vows to try again.

ROSA (through translator): I will keep trying to bring them. The sooner the better. If in 15 days I find someone to bring them here, then we will try again with them.

Unlike slavery, with illegal immigration the burden of expenses is carried by the entire nation. So instead of individual plantation owners having to endure the expenses of supposedly cheap labor, it is a burden carried by taxpaying Americans.

It is my family that endures pain, while waiting behind illegals for medical care. It is my tax dollars that pay for education of illegals, that by school rules have 6 years to learn English and many drop out before ever finishing school. So they take up much space and expense, while not even learning much during the process. While school time is spent on illegals, it diverts resources and teaching time away from children in a legal family. And I’m not even going to get into the issues with gangs. (That would require its own post.)

The issues I see here in Gwinnett County, Georgia will only get worse with anything that encourages illegal immigration or makes them feel they will be rewarded. And the issues will get worse for America. The nation will not be able to sustain the expense of this dilemma for much longer. It is causing the nation to engage in a race to the bottom and then we all lose.

America’s borders need to be secured and the only means made for immigration should be via the current legalization process. What employers of illegals see as a “resource” is really a great expense. Immigration requires regulation to prevent this nation’s collapse.

Linked in the title is a long overdue tale that describes in short detail the facts surrounding foreign remittances, explains that they are, like it has long been suspected, a huge source of income for other countries and, if you have the foresight to extrapolate the outcome of this trend, foretells the destruction of Americas middle class.

Today, remittances are the largest, fastest-growing and most reliable source of income for developing countries. Poor nations received $167 billion from overseas workers last year, according to the World Bank, more than all foreign aid.

According to the World Bank, the number of international migrants swelled from 120 million to 175 million during the 1990s, and the sums they send home each year have more than tripled in this decade.
Fed by millions of such transactions, Mexico's annual remittance inflow has doubled since 2002 and reached $20 billion last year, second only to petroleum as a generator of wealth for the country.

Other developing nations also depend heavily on their migrants' money. Brazilian laborers in Japan send home more than $2 billion a year, out-earning their country's coffee exports. Remittances bring in more than tea exports do in Sri Lanka and tourism in Morocco.

So on the backs of exploited, low wage laborers third world countries raise their standard of living, but not by exploiting them at home, for there is not a market to do that in their home countries. Instead their citizens immigrate to other countries and work cheaply, sending money home to better the lives of their families. A noble thing, I will grant you, but a practice that is most assuredly hurting our country. That is money that is taken out of our communities to be used elsewhere, and low age laborers, especially of the "illegal" variety, depress wages for the legal citizens of the communities that they invade.

One end of the lifeline is the field near Salinas where Erasmo Alonzo started work before dawn one morning.

For eight years, he had been stooping over those fields for up to 10 hours a day, reaping a chronic back pain that felt "like an ugly wound." But on that July morning, he moved as nimbly as his youthful co-workers as they extracted row after row of lettuce from the soil with 12-inch knives.

Alonzo had been off the day before, a Sunday, and devoted part of the day to the ritual that defined his purpose in America: wiring money home to Mexico.

"It is a struggle to get a decent amount together, but I send $500 every two or three months," he said. On this Sunday, he had wired home $200 and paid 10% in commission to a licensed agent of AFEX, a worldwide transfer company.

The companies that transfer the money are raking in the profits hand over fist, and certainly wouldn't mind seeing an even greater amount of money transferred through their service. One must wonder how much their lobbyists make and how big an impact they have on immigration legislation.

The people that make up a main focus of the story are Erasmo Alonzo and his wife Catalina Sanchez. He went to California to pick lettuce because he had no job prospect in his home town, and when he was hurt, she came up and worked the fields with him for three years. More telling is this:

One by one, the couple's two sons and two daughters joined the seasonal clandestine treks to California, picking lettuce for $7.29 an hour and contributing to the family's $800-a-month apartment in Salinas.

An entire family, sneaking into this country, working, sending money back to their home town. Not one mention of "I came to America because I love it and I want to be an American." This is simply a case of theft. Not the classic example of theft, which is stealing something from someone who has earned it, but a more pernicious form of theft. This form of theft appears to be simply a case of people trying to survive, but one can liken it to a thief that breaks in and cooks your dinner, while handing the contents of your cabinet out the window and then doing the dishes before he leaves. Sure, you had dinner and the kitchen is clean, but what are you gonna make for breakfast now that all of your food has gone out the window and the cook left?

Foreign remittances are draining our economy. The people that send this money home are, it seems, here for one reason and one reason only, to work and send money home, and they don't seem to want to be an American and are most likely criminal (illegal) aliens in the vast majority of cases. Remember the vast seas of foreign flags in attendance during the early rallies and marches against immigration reform? Sure, they switched to American flags in the more recent marches, but that is not because they wish to be an American citizen and take part in our country on an equal footing. It is because they have a good PR team telling them that they are angering the very people that should be angry they have snuck into our country and ignored our laws and perhaps because with "legal" status they can make even more money to send home.

Think about this. If you could work in another country, doing menial labor, making far more than you are now, and send it home for someone to invest and use to give yourself and your family a better life, would you do it? Of course you would. It is simply human nature to try to make things as easy on yourself and those you care about, and doing that is much easier than actually immigrating here legally and trying to stand toe to toe with people that have a better grasp of the language and better contacts in the community.

Many criminal aliens have no incentive to stay here and become an American citizen. Why would they? Right now they can sneak in almost at will, and face no real consequences for breaking our law, and the benefit is they can make themselves much richer at home.

If these people are given amnesty and allowed to work here as long as they wish another side effect comes into play that doesn't get enough attention; Social Security. If remittances are propping up the economies of these countries now, imagine what it would be once many of these criminal aliens are allowed to start drawing Social Security in a few years. A Social Security check that here in the U.S. would be barely enough to allow you to scrape by every month would allow you to live quite well in many third world countries.

Imagine the hit to the SS fund when 10 million checks start heading out to third world countries because their citizens had the balls to break our laws and sneak in here to depress our wages and our elected officials didn't have the balls to enforce our laws and realize that the money made within these borders should stay within them, not be funneled out to people that will spend that money there. In effect, money sent abroad to a "retiree" would stay in the community that that person lives in, and not here in the United States. Figuring that the SS payment now is, from the limited and short survey of people I know on Social Security, about $550.00, and we are looking (hypothetically) at 30 years in the future, the payment will probably be higher, (say 750.00) and even one million checks going out every month would put the figure at SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS!!!!

That is, in this lowball estimate, almost 8 BILLION A YEAR!!!

Admittedly, that is not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things, considering that right now criminal aliens reportedly cost us in excess of 50 billion a year, but any money that we send out of the country is money that is no longer circulating through our communities, and it is the circulation of this money, the constant earn and spend that makes a middle class large and powerful.

That we are slowly losing this middle class is an indication that things are seriously flawed with the policies and procedures that are being followed, or more rightly, not followed. The fact that our government appears unwilling to change this circumstance should call into question just who they are working for; you, the American citizen or the criminal aliens that would steal our greatness.
There is a great album called Radio K.A.O.S. by Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd fame) about a young man that is paralyzed and uses a computerized wheelchair and...Well, go get the album for yourself, but there is a song on it called "The Tide is Turning", and it is about the mindsets of the planets populace coming to grips with the fact that the way they are going about things is not the answer. It is a great song, and was the one that popped into my head when I read the email this morning from A.J. Whitehead.

    A. J. Whitehead, the founder of Anti-CAIR-net.org and the man that recently had a lawsuit by CAIR against him dismissed because HE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH sent along a nice little link to a story that shows our courts may be starting to "get it."

A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld the dismissal of an American Muslim civil rights group's defamation lawsuit against former U.S. Rep. Cass Ballenger, who linked the group to terrorists in a 2003 interview.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations sued Ballenger for $2 million, saying the congressman's comments damaged its reputation and good name. The group has denied any links to terrorism.

Go read the whole thing and let yourself have a bit of hope today. Maybe, just maybe, the tide is turning.
In an astounding email CAIR takes up the issue of a "Spanish" Muslim woman that came to Florida to visit her son, who is now living with his father, and was arrested for "being connected to someone they view as suspicious."

Safana Jawad, an Iraqi born woman whose ex-husband is now a U.S. citizen has been detained and will be deported tonight, and Homeland Security Department agents have refused to identify the suspicious person.

Her ex-husband, Ahmad Maki Kubba, has been lauded by Florida Governor Jeb Bush as a symbol of progress in Iraq for organizing a trip to Nashville in January 2005 for about a dozen friends to vote in the Iraqi election.

Kubba believes his ex-wife was singled out because she wears a head scarf.

Well, let's look a little deeper shall we?

Kubba spent 40 days in one of Saddams prisons for speaking out against the dictator and left Iraq in 1979 after being sentenced to death. His father, he says, died during a beating by Saddam's regime.

Now he has an ex that is living a Spain (a hotbed of radical Islam and a country full of cowardly appeasers) and tries to come to the U.S. to visit and is held for having ties to suspicious people.

I don't know why they got divorced, but the fact is that his ex is in Spain, connected to a suspicious person and trying to enter our country, and CAIR has the chutzpah to call it a racial issue?

It is an issue of security, plain and simple. If this person she is connected with is suspicious to the U.S. government than chances are they have done something to arouse that suspicion, and not telling her gives that person a chance to decide of their own free will if they will continue on their course and eventually get captured or killed by anti-terrorism forces or if they will decide that they like being alive and free better, and that, my friends, is the epitome of freedom, the chance to decide your own destiny, free of outside influences.

Why, if they told Jawad who that suspicious person was, they might decide that if they are being watched close enough to keep Jawad from entering the U.S. then maybe they are doing something foolish and should stop it. Then again, they may decide that they are being watched too closely and cut off ties to people that may lead our intelligence forces to those that would do us harm.

Either way, for CAIR to play a race card when the issue is definitely one of security is reprehensible but standard practice, really, we expect no less from them.

But stopping people possibly connected to "suspicious persons" is also what I expect our people guarding our borders to do....Good job guys....Keep it up!!!!
One of the pasttimes of this site is exposing hypocrisy.

Being a white guy there is an awful lot of it out there from where I sit, from the fact that I can't start a Miss White America Contest to counter the obviously racist Miss Black America Contest because I would be....a racist....go figure.

I also can't start a "White Entertainment Television" or have a magazine called "Ivory", but "Black Entertainment Television" and "Jet Magazine" have a place on your TV screen and on the magazine rack, and anyone that calls that racism is denounced as a hate mongering asswipe that should be locked away for years and is actually in danger of being arrested for "inciting hate speech".

That's fine. I don't need a Miss White America or a WET channel (unless the "WET" channel featured hot chicks in wet t-shirts...then I need one badly), but theer is one form of hypocrisy that needs to stop, and soon.

The hypocrisy of people that are allowed, even defended, when they say that they wish to have sex with young boys, when anyone that claims they wish to have sex with young GIRLS is branded a pedophile.

Don't get me wrong...I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOUNG GIRLS. I learned long ago (in my younger days) that younger girls are a sad second to women that have a few more years under their panty bands.

Sex with young children is bad, and I imagine that there are studies that show that the increase of hormones in beef and dairy products is causing our young women to blossom at a younger age. I know one thing, the girls in high-school when I was in high school did NOT look like the girls in high school look today. I stopped talking to females at the mall years ago, when I figured out that I was getting carded to get in bars at the age of 20 something and there were 15 and 16 year old girls that were simply walking in and ordering.

Now, that hyposcrisy aside, and the fact that sex with children is bad, and that most GIRLS look older today at a specific age than they did 15 years ago, men looking at mostly grown young women and admiring them is natural.

Men looking at not quite grown young men and wanting to play footsie with them is NOT!!!!

As I covered the other day, and Suzie has picked up on, there is a somewhat new website that is advocating and extolling the virtues of having sex with young boys.

I will be posting more on this tomorrow, when I am not so angry. You see, I have a young son, and pedophile freaks like this worry me greatly......it is thi skind of person that very well could be the cause of me getting thrown in prison for murder, for that is probably what I would do to someone that hurt my son like that, and I make no apologies for that stance either!!!!

Go check out suzies post regarding this...there is an ever growing coalition of parents that are bloggers that are working to get this crap taken down.....I will be one of them.
    and follow the directions.

    Is that so hard?

In the course of your day, did someone shoot at you? Did someone fire mortars into your house while you tried to sleep?

Have you spent months on end away from those you love? Eating from a mess hall and using a portable latrine?

In short, is taking a few minutes to get some kind of small card, sign your name with a get well wish and spend the less than forty cents to mail it going to be such an inconvenience to your life?

    Then do it.

Thank you....and I bet you start out with a small get well wish, and end up penning letters before you can stop yourself.

    Again, thanks.
Click on this link and send a brick to our representatives in government so they can get to work on our border fence.
Well, lets hope not, but given the level of cluelessness in the world, marked by moonbats and wingnuts extraordinaire, one would naturally believe that sheer numbers would dictate that whoever inherits the earth, their chance of being Clueless is exceedingly high.

Fear not, the Carnival of The Clueless is up at Rick Moran's RightWingNutHouse!!!!

    Enjoy.

Here’s Jack’s bruised face, the result of the torture they received when they were first arrested, which the MSM didn’t report a single word about, even though Carlotta Gall had a front row seat.

Once again, here we are. We know that Jack and his men were declared innocent in a second trial, which the MSM did not cover, and are being held for some inexplicable reason -at the behest of the American government. Their ID’s actually say ‘political prisoner’ on them. Now if they were guilty of torture and running a private prison, then why would their ID’s say ‘political prisoner’?

In the convoluted case of Jack Idema, Jack and his men, according to Kim Barker of the Chicago Tribune, the biggest challenge isn’t the Taliban or Al Qaeda who are imprisoned at Pulacharke; instead the biggest challenge the Afghans face is the three Americans.

That’s a pretty ridiculous statement, wouldn’t you say? Al Qaeda isn’t the challenge, no, even the Taliban aren’t a challenge–no, the challenge for the Afghans at Pulacharke is the three Americans!

And then she goes on to quote Mawlawi Sidiq (the title of Mawlawi was stripped from him long ago, but the media continues to call him by that moniker). I find it so interesting that journalists like Barker go over to Afghanistan, can’t get an audience with Idema and his men, and continue to report in this slanted kind of way.

She says Caraballo is due to be released in July, Bennett in July 2007 and Idema in July 2009, citing no sources for this information, and not acknowledging that the Americans were declared innocent in a second trial.

My sources say that Idema is due to be released in the upcoming weeks, but it appears as though the MSM is intent on spinning the conditions under which that will happen. Two other points that seemed to me to be equally ridiculous that Barker made in her article were that they were

were arrested in July 2004 on charges of running a private jail and torturing prisoners in their own war on terrorism.

Oh. I see, Idema and his men were hunting Bin Laden, and captured Ghulumsaki with a night letter from Mullah Omar and a letter from his brother-a terrorist incarcerated at Gitmo, but she says ‘their own war on terrorism’.

So if I’m to understand this correctly, there is no war on terrorism? It’s quite apparent how the war with the Taliban has changed, since Karzai is now asking them to participate in government, Mullah Omar was also ‘forgiven’ and taken off the most wanted terrorist list, and I guess we’re all supposed to cry buckets of tears for Ghulumsaki’s brother at Gitmo. Terrorists at Gitmo get a habeas corpus hearing within 30 days (which they’re not entitled to), Idema and his men waited for over a year just to get their case HEARD, because it was buried, and the response was incomprehensible excuses and mumbo jumbo! It’s inexecusable. It would seem that the American government and the courts are favoring terrorists’ rights over those of people who were legitimately and honestly fighting the war on terror.

They said they were hunting terrorists in a U.S.-sanctioned operation but were convicted in a bizarre trial that seemed to overwhelm Afghanistan’s fledgling legal system.

That’s right, a Taliban court did not follow the rule of law under the new system, so that’s why there was a second trial! But sadly, these facts are ignored by the MSM.

There is no reason that they are being held, there is no reason these men are not free, except that the American government switched sides mid-stream and is now appeasing terrorists instead of fighting them, and the media is playing along with this betrayal of our fighting forces, and I find it abominable.

They were not ‘found guilty’ under Afghan law, they were railroaded by a Taliban court! And the accomplices have lost their jobs and titles and some have fled the country.

We will continue to blog about this until their release, and I have some definite questions to ask the American government and the people involved, how this could have ever have happened to Americans in a foreign country to begin with.

The most important thing we should push for is a CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATION.

So what can we do? Well, anyone reading this with their own blog can sign up for the weekly Free Jack Idema Blogburst by emailing Cao or Rottweiler Puppy for details. I’d urge everyone to do this, as we’re still terribly short on takers. If you want to know more about the story, Cao’s Blog has a large section devoted to Jack Idema. There’s also a timeline here, and, of course, a huge amount of information is available over at SuperPatriots, without whose work none of us would have learned about Jack’s story.

Only the ACLU would take exception to the police being able to share information.

I swear, they act every day more and more like teenagers that have something to hide, don't they?

Linked in the title is a story about the New Mexico ACLU taking, eh, exception to the law enforcement agencies in New Mexico being able to use the "LINX" system, which stands for "Law Enforcement Information Exchange" and allows law enforcement agencies to share information faster and more equally.

Linx lets officers type in a name, address or other piece of information, and the system makes available any reports from participating agencies pertaining to the information entered.

    Now, of course they have concerns. Namely;

In 2001, the Detroit Free Press uncovered 90 violations by authorized users who accessed a statewide database to track down ex-girlfriends or harass a woman.

Incidents such as this should be dealt with harshly. Anyone abusing a position of power and access for personal gain or issues should be punished in the harshest terms possible.

But the ability of law enforcement to share information should not be hindered. That was part of the reason that 9-11 worked for the murdering thugs that pulled it off

The ACLU is wrong to try to protect criminals at the expense of our safety.

But then, they spend a lot of time on the wrong side of the issues, so they are probably very comfortable with that.
This will stay on top for a few days...scroll down for updates.

Nestled in the rolling hills, a quaint little village beckons the weary traveler with mouth-watering fare, thirst quenching ale and the bawdiest wenches this side of the Renaissance!!!

    IT'S KORONEBURG!!!!

My favorite "festival" in Southern California, (and the one I consider "home") is the Koroneburg Old World Festival.

This site has grown from its' humble, early beginnings to become a sprawling entertainment extravaganza, with the coolest handmade crafts by some of the most talented artisans I have ever had the pleasure of finding myself sharing and ale and a tale with.

This year promises to be to be the best yet, as we now have the giant rocking horses, (there is nothing like riding a giant rocking horse to remind you of why you shouldn't have grown up) to our latest addition to the family, Sound and Fury, (who are sure to remind you of all those little reasons why it was a good thing to grow up, indeed.)

Old world style artisans spend the year creating their wondrous arts and crafts for this event, and I promise you that the quality is beyond compare. No cheap-o swap-meet stuff here.

Clothiers, Potters, Swordsmiths and a host of other hard to find accoutrements of a once bygone are are as easy to find as strolling down the lane.

Citizens that show up in the 'burg in attire of the period get a discount (over 1/3 off and you must be there before 10:30 AM) and if you don't have the proper attire for this festival, don't worry, our excellent merchants are more than happy to outfit you in the style of the day.

    What must we look like?

    Written by: Carolyn Hileman

Bin Laden once said we looked like paper tigers and that is why he had no fear in attacking us. Well look in the streets right now and tell me what kind of tiger do we look like right now? To anyone looking on from outside the US must think of us as incredibly weak, considering we cannot or will not put down civil unrest in our own country. The fact that we are not even trying sends loud resounding signals to the countries that would do us harm. It is saying that if they chose to infiltrate us in the millions not only will we allow them to stay we will allow them to march down our streets and demand anything they wish.

Think about it people what kind of signal are we sending out by our silence, who will be the next to walk among us with their demands with utter impunity? Have lost our minds? By our inaction we are saying to the rest of the world “hey we learned absolutely nothing from 9/11 we are still the most welcoming country of all civilization for any terrorist that wishes to enter.” We are all sitting at home waiting for our leaders to suddenly get a back bone and unfortunately they seem to have left it at home. The only thing they feel like defending are the illegals’ in our streets. We have laws on our books, to hell with this new one enforce the laws we have and do it now.

The leaders of Answer should be behind bars, by the laws on the books, they should be there for say ten years or so. We should fine or imprison those refusing to do their duty in the face of this invasion. Ever heard of a vote of no confidence guys, do you really think our leaders are immune? Our governors are sitting on their thumbs and rotating when they should be declaring a state of emergency and putting down this unrest. Our senators are busy thumping their chests and claiming to be tough on immigration while the immigrants are in the streets waving Mexican flags. Are you starting to get a good picture here, what on earth must we look like?

The Voice blog: By Carolyn Hileman

    XPosted by Kender
    Thank You Carolyn
There is a website that I won't link to, that started, a few months ago, to "write", and, for the most part, to "write" about members of the group I am a part of, The Wide Awakes.

To say that this persons interest in us borders on obsession may be understating it a bit, but since I am not a psychiatrist, I cannot say for certain, but a couple of psychiatrists that have been asked about it (and who shall remain unnamed) have mentioned that "obsession" may be a fitting term for its' condition.

Recently, I took the time to peruse the website in question, tallying the pertinent stats to see exactly how deranged and obsessed this creature seemed to be.

On February 27th, this creature attacked one of our stalwart, and warty, comrades, Ogre, and was inundated with comments by TWA members and some other friends, namely Raven.

As of that day when the comments on that thread numbered only 90, (they have reached 140 as of this writing), the following stats held true:

Keep in mind that "#posts" is the number of posts from that month from this creature, "#attacks" is the number of posts that attacked a TWA member and "%" is, of course, the percentage of its' posts that were attacks. In the case of comments the "#comments" is the total # of comments (when stats were tallied); "#comments by TWA" is comments made by our members or close allies and ""%" is the number of comments that were made by the creature:

    November '05:
    # attacks: 2
    %-----------------------------------20%

    #comments by TWA 12
    %---------------------------------50%

    December '05:
    # attacks: 5
    %-----------------------------------50%

    #comments by TWA 14
    %------------------------------------30someodd percent

    January '06:
    #attacks: 6
    %-----------------------------------60%

    #comments by TWA 9
    %----------------------------------30 some odd percent

    February '06:
    #attacks: 6
    %----------------------------------60%

    #comments by TWA 64
    %-----------------------------------60 percentish

    Total posts: 40
    Total Attacks: 19
    %--------------------------------------45%

    Total Comments: 197
    TWA Comments: 99
    Comments by creature 69
    Comments by others 29

as one can see, this creatures attacks against TWA members has tripled since it started its' site, with fully 45% of its total posts attacking TWA members. Comments meanwhile prove that this creatures comments are driven for the most part by TWA and itself.

That is a sad truth that this creature is only important in his own mind.

Now, since that day his posts have numbered 23 (as of this writing) with attacks on TWA members numbering six, a figure, (if my math is correct) of just over 25%, so it seems this creature is slacking off a bit in the last couple of months.

I am not going to go through the rest of its comments again and tally new numbers. One, it wouldn't take that long, as there aren't many, and two; I am not that bored today. Only boredom makes me drop into such a slimy pit as that site and tally stats.

But what makes me write this now is an email exchange that I have been having with this moron. It took exception to something I wrote (big surprise there, huh?) and has been hounding me in email to use a third party forum to debate the point.

So far I am refusing, mostly because I am not going to help him garner readers, attention and links, (I don't want to enable it....after all, that just prolongs it seeking much needed treatment), and also because it seems to drive it mad. Any time I can anger an idiotic troll is time I consider well spent.

But, for your enjoyment, and as perhaps a case study in obsession and possibly dementia, what follows is the email exchange between myself and the creature. This exchange started after the latest (as of this writing) attack when I had to delete yet another trackback from this moron....like I said...I am giving it no traffic.

note: "****" denotes name removed to protect the stupid.

I was simply going to ignore you, since I have seen that about half of your posts attack a TWA member and the other half garner no attention, and over half of your comments (last I checked) were you responding to TWA members (and you only had a couple of people that weren't us that ever bothered to comment), but now I see I have to delete your trackbacks too.

I have seen your site, you have nothing original, no original thinking, ideas or viewpoints, and the way you deliver your thoughts is blasé....you are squat, you have been weighed, measured, and you have been found seriously wanting, and myself and the rest of TWA have been laughing heartily knowing that our lowest member on the blogosphere totem pole gets much more attention than you.

    In short, you suck.....a lot.

We don't care for your antics, and your style of attack and your viewpoints played out months before you got on the scene, but then you are probably used to being a day late and a dollar short.

When you grow up, and learn how to play with the bigger kids, feel free to step in and grab a bat, but until that day know that we are laughing at you, and we know that we are making you angrier by simply ignoring the hell out of you and deleting your trackbacks......

****, after cruising your site again, rather quickly I must say, I have to reiterate my point about your lack of commentors......dude...after cruising the pabulum you are putting out (droll and vanilla as it is), I can only advise you take your regurgitated bile and shut that fucker down....even William Teach only gave you a look see...you feint at him was ignored and aside from us your only comments section since we swamped you that had any "discussion" was between you and some other drab fellow.

The more I look at your site, the more I realize how sucky you are as a writer, and I suspect as a human.

Please....keep it up. I can't wait for the next installment of "Look at me, I have an opinion, I matter, I really do.....YOOOHOOOOO!!!!"

This is getting to be a series worthy of a case study in obsession and the pathetic psychological pathology of a needy loner.

How many illegal immigrants have you personally arrested thus far?

    That's what I thought...

well ****, since I started this yesterday, and haven't been anywhere yet, the number is still zero....but that doesn't change the fact that you can't write well, think originally or entertain people....so even if I never arrest anyone in my entire life, you will still suck!!!

    And that is fucking comedy!!!

Your opinion of my writing is just that: merely an opinion.

However, it is a fact that despite your bluster, the number of immigrants you've caught is exactly zero.

Tomorrow, the number of immigrants you will have caught will still be exactly zero.

A week from now? Exactly zero.

A month from now? Exactly zero.

A year from now? Exactly zero.

You are never going capture any immigrants. You can't, of course, because you're a member of the 101st Fighting Keyboarders -- full of rhetoric and bafflegab, empty of any accomplishment. That is a fact. It will always be a fact.

And I'll continue to remind you of that fact.

By the way... which US law requires "citizens... to carry identification that proves their legal right to be within the borders of this great country"? Cite the statute, please.

As they say in Texas, Kender: you are all hat, no cattle.

"Bafflegab"....I like that. Good word. I am amazed that you are psychic, and can see my future. You should try to get a TV show with ability like that. Maybe then you would be worth more than the spittle on your computer screen.

According to the SCOTUS decision in Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada, you can be arrested for failing to provide your name to an officer, and this includes failing to have ID if you are stopped.

If you don't believe me, feel free to wander your town in the dead of night, in a bad area, sans ID, and if you are stopped by a cop, and don't have your ID, don't be surprised when you are arrested, fingerprinted and questioned.

SO what have you done to help the country? Yeah...NOTHING....your bloviating and constant useless attacks on me, and my Wide Awakes crew only shows you to be just another windbag with no readership, no credentials as any kind of a writer and a pathetic creature more suited for a trailer in the backwoods of some long forgotten and bypassed podunk town. At least there you might have a shot at someone, anyone, listening to you.

I am continuing to laugh at you heartily and make fun of your insipid obsession with your betters.

Tha's nice.. and also irrelevant. The decision you cite says nothing about having to carry papers that "prove" some "legal right" to be in the US. Certainly no ID you carry has any bearing on that question. Read for comprehension, little boy.

Answer the question: Which statute requires "citizens... to carry identification that proves their legal right to be within the borders of this great country"?

You'll never arrest anyone, anywhere, at anytime. Why? You're a coward. You run from honest discussions. You lie about what others have written. You alter and forge comments to discredit anyone who challenges you.

You'll stay at your keyboard. You will go out and do... nothing.

And I'll keep reminding you of that fact.

You keep on reminding me of your perception, and I will know that nobody is still reading your site....so nothing changes....you still don't know me, and nobody reads your crappy worthless drivel.

    I win.

    Run away, little boy.

    You answer my question!!!

And where did I ever say anything about a "STATUTE"? I didn't. Go walk around without ID and see how long before a cop says you must carry it.

    You're lying... again:

"And since it is the law of the land that citizens are legally obligated to carry identification that proves their legal right to be within the borders of this great country...".

Nothing in the court decision you cited states or implies that requirement.
Answer the question: Which statute requires "citizens... to carry identification that proves their legal right to be within the borders of this great country"? How many immigrants did you arrest today?

better question for you....how many people failed to read a thing you wrote today?

The law I referenced upheld the right of officers to arrest people for refusing to answer question or ask for ID.

Which is, of course, not relevant to your assertion that there exists a law requiring residents of the US to carry proof of legal status. That was your claim, and as usual, you cannot back it up with facts. You've been caught lying, Kender -- again.

no...you have been caught being a simpleton, a moron, a dolt and someone that nobody really reads. Just because you have no comprehension doesn't mean everyone else must spell out every little thing for you, ****. We are not like the drivers you befriended on the window licker bus on your way to school; we are the kids that threw milk at you in the cafeteria.

Why yes, Kender, you're absolutely right. You and your cohorts are, indeed, children. You are incapable of adult discussion, incapable even of adult thought. You are definitely incapable of demonstrating the adult quality known as honesty.

I have a proposition for you. I can prove -- beyond any doubt -- that you've lied about the requirement that US residents carry identification. In past discussions on thewideawakes.org, you've "won" by editing my comments. Do you have the balls to discuss this in an open forum, one that neither you nor I control, where neither of us can edit the comments made by the other?

Will you stand up and defend your statements in public, or slink fearfully away like the coward we both know you are?

Awful quiet there, Kender. Was the thought of actually having to defend your claims in a forum you can't control too much for you?

The offer remains open. Have you the courage to accept a simple challenge?

    -- ****

I'm not quiet, I happen to be busy working....even I have to do some work occasionally....what forum ****?

First things first. Do you accept the challenge to defend your assertion that US residents, by law, must carry identification?

    What Forum???

The discussion will take place in a mutually agreed-upon forum. Which forum is irrelevant unless you accept the challenge. So far, you're doing a crackerjack job of proving that you lack the guts to discuss this in a forum that you cannot control.

Actually I am having more fun watching you make demands and not get your way.....

And again, you have to lie to make a "point".

I've made no demands, little coward. I've asked a question. You're proving, once again, that you are terrified by the mere thought of an open, honest discussion that you cannot manipulate.

No, I am watching you make claims that I lied and make demands that I join some "forum I have no control over" and seem to get madder with each email....have you not figured out that one of my greatest joys in life is making assholes like yourself angry?

Has it not sunk into your thick skull that nothing makes me happier than making some troll see red and yell at their monitor?

Are you so fucking dense that you haven't understood that not only little old me, but the entirety of TWA is laughing our asses off at you with each succeeding email where you make demands and don't get your way???

Dude.....you are either seriously stupid or obsessed with The Wide Awakes. As I have pointed out, almost half of your posts attack members of TWA, and about half of your comments are from you responding to commentors, of which almost half of your commentors are those you attack....you have precious few readers, nobody takes your drivel seriously, and it gives me nothing to smack you around in any public forum, but may bring you more readers, which is not a goal of mine at all.

You are not gonna get what you want, no matter what you claim, and I will continue to delete your trackbacks and ignore your ignorant attacks.

It is so much more fun to do that and deny you any sort of traffic, notice, notoriety or readership through me than it is to make you look even more idiotic.....but by all means, please keep emailing me about.....I love sharpening my claws on your backside....it is, after all, so thin skinned and soft, it is almost like clawing silk.

You are afraid to discuss your claim. Thank you for taking the time to make that clear.

No...not afraid....I just don't see the benefit to me....the benefit to you is clear....possibly more traffic, unearned because it would come from something besides your talent as a writer or your entertainment value.....the only benefit I could get is smacking you around in a public forum even more, but I am not obsessed with the notoriety like you seem to be, so it is actually more of a benefit for me to smack you around in private emails and make you pound your head against an electronic wall when you don't get what you want.

    Is that clear enough, ****?

And now his latest post reads:

In the course of making the grandiose claim that he'd be out single-handedly arresting illegal aliens, Kender MacGowan made the assertion that

[I]t is the law of the land that citizens are legally obligated to carry identification that proves their legal right to be within the borders of this great country…
I challenged Kender via email to provide the legal basis for his claim, and he responded:
According to the SCOTUS decision in Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada, you can be arrested for failing to provide your name to an officer, and this includes failing to have ID if you are stopped.
    (Emphasis mine.)
It seems that poor Kender is the living embodiment of the well-worn saying that a little learning is a dangerous thing. The Supreme Court, in Hiibel, did indeed affirm that a citizen is required to give his name to a police officer if asked. But on the question of carrying identification, the Supreme Court stated:

[T]he Nevada Supreme Court has interpreted NRS §171.123(3) to require only that a suspect disclose his name… As we understand it, the statute does not require a suspect to give the officer a driver's license or any other document. Provided that the suspect either states his name or communicates it to the officer by other means — a choice, we assume, that the suspect may make — the statute is satisfied and no violation occurs.
Given the contents of the Hiibel decision, there can be no doubt that Kender was lying when he claimed that US citizens are legally obligated to carry identification. There is no such legal requirement. He provides yet another example of the tendency among radical right-wing bloggers to invent whatever "facts" are necessary to support their arguments, regardless of what the truth may be.

To which I replied with the cooty-graw:

Thanks for calling me a "radical right wing blogger".....however, if this moniker had come from someone I respect, or at least didn't think was a complete waste of resources, it would probably mean more to me.....so, just to clarify:

If you do not have ID on you when a cop stops you, for whatever reason, the cop may legally arrest you and hold you until such time as he ascertains your identity. This is completely legal. Which means that you must carry ID, and if you do not you risk arrest for nothing more than NOT carrying ID.

So, in effect, the law of the land can be read as you must carry ID.....

    asshat....

so how many times are you going to need to get your trackbacks deleted before you quit banging your head against an electronic wall?

    Dumbass!!!

    Now.....is that comedy? Or what???
    From a CAIR News Release:

Carlos Charco bought a turban, tunic and sandals on the first day of a short mission trip three years ago in a West African country.

He wanted to blend into this Sahara Desert region, far from Mexico's Pacific coast, where he grew up. Far from the San Antonio seminary where he was studying Christian theology.

The new duds and his mestizo features - black hair and brown skin - matched those of the Arab community there. Nearly everyone assumed he was Muslim.

So they're trying to blend in and be inconspicuous....sound like a tactic you've heard of? It gets better.

"It was an advantage as a missionary that I'm not white and my eyes were not blue or green," said Charco, a San Antonio pastor who's preparing - along with his wife, Viviana, of South America - to be missionaries in a Muslim country.

They are part of a rising evangelical movement of Latin-American missionaries going to areas that are the least Christianized in the world.

They believe their skin tone and non-Western background give them advantages in Muslim countries over Anglo missionaries, who are held back by post-9-11 hostilities.

(emphasis mine in the last paragraph)
Good to see the street goes both ways. Hostilities against muslims by Americans are rising, rightly, and until they rise en masse against their radical brothers, Americans will continue to treat Muslims as suspect. At least, wise Americans will do that..

Yet, for some U.S. Islamic leaders, the emergence of Latino missionaries only adds to the tension and distrust of evangelicals who they say periodically invent new ways to conceal unwanted requests for Muslims to convert. . .

This approach, even if led by Latinos, still draws skepticism from some Muslims who have seen a variety of methods by Christians seeking the same objective of conversion, said Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group in Washington.

Men growing beards. Women wearing head coverings. Bibles placed on wooden stands like Korans. Churches built to resemble mosques.

"It's a new twist on an old approach," Hooper said. "They want to appear as Muslim as possible to kind of blur the lines."

(bold emphasis theirs in the last paragraph, italics mine)
So trying to get people to peacefully convert to Christianity is bad, but threatening death against a man that converts to Christianity in Afghanistan is A-OK? Where was CAIR on THAT one, eh?

Get a load of that last line:
"They want to appear as Muslim as possible to kind of blur the lines."
Replace "Muslim" with "American" and what do you have?

    Enough said.

Hooper said he doesn't believe humanitarian help from evangelical mission groups is unconditional.

"If the Bible is handed out with a sack of rice, they're going to take the sack of rice and the Bible if their kids are starving," he said. "We have no problem with someone coming to a Muslim and saying, 'I think Christianity is better.' But we object to going into a vulnerable population with a disproportionate power relationship." . . .
Muslim skepticism is fueled in part by the fact that major U.S. Islamic charity groups have been shut down by U.S. law enforcement officials, said Ingrid Mattson, Islamic studies professor at the Hartford Seminary in Connecticut.

The crackdown has come due to concerns about terror links to Islamic charities, she said, prompting U.S. officials to freeze their assets.

"This is creating a huge amount of bad will," she said. "This also helps further the agenda of the American Christian evangelical groups, because it makes it impossible for (Islamic charities) to help their fellow Muslim countries and easy for Christian groups to go there."

    (emphasis mine)
But do you object to creating a vulnerable population of women that are subjugated and an entire class of citizens that are second class and must pay a tax to not be Muslim?

    What about that "vulnerable population?"

Now this is just a thought, but if "Islamic charities" didn't use the funds they raised for things like BULLETS AND BOMBS, maybe, just MAYBE, they wouldn't GET SHUT DOWN!!!!!
    Warning: Harsh Language!!!

Click the link in the title.

    I am absolutely speechless.

A tip o' me tam to Crystal for this.
Linked in the title is the website for the "April 10th Mobilization."

What is funny about this site, and by extension the moronic stance behind it, is that these people are asking for something that is already available, IF you are a LEGAL IMMIGRANT.

Whether or not you can attend an event on April 10, you CAN make your voice heard. Join hundreds of thousands of us in telling Congress that we need real, comprehensive immigration reform – not anti-immigrant scapegoating. Tell Congress that you want immigration reform that:
    - Includes a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants
    - Reunites families
    - Ensures workplace protections and civil rights for all

What these people are failing to tell people, and are in effect lying about, is that the sentiments in the U.S. today are not against immigrants, but ILLEGAL immigrants, and simply changing the law so that nobody is illegal is NOT the solution.

People that are "undocumented" have a path to citizenship, legally, IF they choose to pursue it. Rewarding these people that ignore our laws and sneak into the country is NOT what this country is about.

There website states: "We deserve to be treated with respect and deserve a chance to become citizens of the country we love."

Well and good, but if THIS is the country that you love, why are you marching with MEXICAN FLAGS?

We do respect immigrants.....LEGAL IMMGRANTS...not the criminals that sneak in here, steal our resources and money and flout our laws....those people should be thrown out of the country and placed at the back of the line.

The constant cries of racism from those that advocate open borders is tired. The fact that they back the very people that break our laws should tell anyone with a lick of sense just who is in the right on this issue, but I am increasingly of the opinion that the people we are dealing with don't have a lick of sense.

On April the 10th these people have vowed to take to the streets, and hold vigils and protests to demand their "rights".

What I want to know is when is OUR GOVERNMENT going to uphold our right to have a country where the law is enforced fairly and evenly?

When is OUR GOVERNMENT going to do the right thing, and enforce our laws and work towards roudning up the criminal aliens that have invaded our country and deport them?

When is OUR GOVERNMENT going to SECURE OUR BORDER??????

On Monday, April 10th, thousands of people are publically and openly planning to gather and protest our sovereign right and duty to enforce our immigration laws and secure our border.....I hope our government takes notice of this and sends out the proper authorities to make certain that those people at those events are within their rights to protest and be in this country legally.

I don't hold out much hope for that though.....do you?
