One of the stat trackers I use is site meter. Recently sitemeter started running ads when I am checking stats. I PAY for this service, and I sent them an email asking about this development. So far no response. I am sooooo not happy.
I may change from site meter altogether. Besides, they don't seem to offer a "Unique Hit" service.

Have you clicked on "Manager", then "Advertising" and verified that "Don't display advertising" is checked?
Sorry, just checking.
I'm not sure why I didn't get your email but yes, you can turn off advertising on your Site Meter pages by logging into your upgraded account on Site Meter and then selecting the "Advertising" link from the MANAGER page of your account.
OK...thanks you guys...yes the problem is fixed...it never occured to me that A) There would be a way to turn off ads because B) I never thought someone would want to watch ads.
I wonder how it turned itself on?
