    I seem to be torn.....

    A part of me wants our troops to come home from Iraq, victorious and with a Democracy blooming where once sat a salted plot of land, incapable of growing nothing but bitterness.



    Another part of me wants our troops to come home RIGHT NOW and toss out every last foreign national in the States, (if you weren't born here leave), close the borders to them and tell those that are whining so much about "the evil Americans" to solve their own problems, and leave us and our friends alone. I know that sounds like a petulant 10 year old, saying if you don't like it stay out of my yard, but sometimes kids have the right idea.

    Your musings on non-americans living in the US are downright disturbing. I myself am a citizen of another country, currently in the US. Don't you think your views are as radical as the terrorists that you so passionately hate? Have you, in your hate, become like the ones you hate?

    I don't believe my views are hateful....but they certainly are extreme. So much of the world wants the U.S. out of Iraq, along with a great number of Americans. If we pulled out right now, just simply picked up and left, the whole region would fall into utter chaos, and perhaps a large scale war. How long do you imagine it would take Turkey, or Iran, or any one of the other 'regional' countries to decide that Iraq is defenseless and they should go looting while the looting is good? I say, if so many people want us out so badly right now, let's leave, and see how long before the world is in utter chaos and countries are begging us to help. If you believe things are bad now, imagine how bad that scenario would be. That is exactly why we CANNOT leave until the job is finished.

    And I don't mean until we install a "puppet government"...if you believe we do that then tell Japan and Germany they are actually a 'puppet' of the U.S.

    We go in,, create Democracy, and leave, reaping the rewards fo trading with a peaceful, friendly country.
