Time has flown
Like clouds that
Scatter on a windy day
Our paths
No longer intertwine
But run closely still
One day surely they
Will diverge
The wisps of what was
Becoming smoke in the breeze
Hinted at on calm days
When views of grandeur
Flood memories
Of moonlit embraces
And smiles at dawn
But now tears at midnight
Haunt my soul
And stain my heart
Passion and anger blend
Creating longing that
Will sear my thoughts
Disappointing my hopes
Clouding my view
Surely is the world
Much darker
With the absence
Of our light
