Dora the Explorer Deported

Famed explorer Dora, a mainstay on the Nickelodeon Channel since 2000, was arrested by ICE agents yesterday and deported. Dora, whose real name is Maria Conchita La Princessa de Chiquita Bananabana Fo Fana Smith apparently crossed into the United States illegally in the mid 90's and worked a variety of low end job before befriending an executive at Nickelodeon by securing an overweight dominatrix and a truckload of Jolt Cola and whipped cream for an emergency party the un-named executive was holding at a Beverly Hills hotel that employed Ms Smith as a maid at the time.
After that fateful night the show idea for Dora the Explorer was pitched and an episode aired in 1999, and surprisingly was a hit, which led to the show being put on the schedule in 2000.
Rumors at the Nickelodeon Studio is that Ms Smith's co star "Swiper" played by Emilio Estevez, reported her to ICE after she welched on a bet regarding how long the monkey "Boots" would stay in rehab over the off season.
Reporters for this website are checking into those allegations as we type, and will be posting an update when we have new information.

Boulder County, Colorado is considering a plan that is evil genius in it's simplicity while combining the theft of freedom, property rights and short-sighted stupidity.
I write about plans that have an "evil genius" angle quite often, mainly due to the fact that I respect evil genius, there seems to be a lot of it out there, and so often evil genius plans also meet the criteria of stealing freedom while being so blindingly stupid that only a genius could possibly find a way to word the plan that would get it passed by any group of people that weren't wearing helmets and drool bibs.
Boulder County Colorado's plan for what amounts to housing credits is just such a plan. This is only the latest in movements by city and county entities that are enacting ordinances and laws all over the country to stymie growth by limiting square footage and creating conservation districts.
Taking their cue from the fabled carbon credits scheme, which is basically a self imposed guilt tax, the Boulder County officials have come up with a "cap and trade scheme" called "transferable development rights" would cap building size and allow homeowners that wanted to buiild bigger than the regulations to buy the right to build bigger from other homeowners that are under the size limit, thereby letting them do with their own property as they see fit while apparently permanently keeping the homeowner that sold the "credit" from ever building their house bigger.
Whether this would transfer to the new owner of a house remains to be seen, but it appears that it would, but I suspect that only a court case would really answer that question.
You know, carbon credits, otherwise known as carbon offsets were bad enough, so bad in fact that Justin and I were selling Liberal Offsets on eBay not too long ago. (Linked to Misha's due to the great commentary re; this issue)
Total Kaos Radio even came up with Methane Credits in an attempt to combat Global Worming in their own charming way.
So to the folks in Boulder County Colorado that came up with this plan of pure evil genius I doff my chapeau to you. You have created a plan that steals property rights from two property owners with each transaction, sets an arbitrary tax on people for building their on their own property all while making it sound like you were saving the earth and have done so with a straight face.
Given that the median size of houses in Boulder County Colorado have gone up twice the national average over the last 16 years, meaning that your homeowners sound as if they are successful people, which means they usually are smarter than the average bear, I would guess that your homeowners are not a bunch of morons that are going to let this plan pass without a fight, so good luck with your evil freedom stealing plan to make yourselves feel good about saving the world.
The only thing that remains to be seen is if the citizens of your county are stupid enough to fall for it.
I am betting that the answer will be a resounding NO!

Our Founding Fathers (NOT simply Founders) signed a Declaration, pledging their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor" to the belief that Man is inherently gifted from birth with inalienable rights, in other words rights that are not granted by the government, therefore they are rights that cannot be taken away.
They went on to forge the most astounding document to follow that one in the Constitution.
Not one but two historic documents that changed the world, and continue to change it today.
They crafted the Constitution so that government would be limited, knowing that a limited government that had a narrowly defined scope of powers, balanced by two other branches, would be a great government and retain to the higest possible extent the freedom thatis inherently ours from birth.
Our government has overstepped those bounds, more so since World War 2 than before that, although the "temporary tax" to fund WW1 stayed with us to this day.
I have been listening closely to the candidates for president, and of all of them that have a chance the ONLY one I have seen EVER mention that an issue should be left to the states, regardless of issue, is Fred Dalton Thompson.
Fred is a Federalist.
Fred is the ONLY Federalist running.
We NEED that type of thinking in the White House desperately.
The Federal Government has been sticking their nose into our lives in an ever more intrusive way, and it's about time to have a President that believes certain things should be run by the states.
Just something for you to think about today.

Click the title of this post and it will take you to Mrs. Fields website search page, where a search of Christmas will get you no results as of the posting of this article by me.
Click here to send an email to Mrs. Fields. Tell the company that since they don’t mind offending Christians, you will not be purchasing their products this Christmas. Ask them to please use Christmas in their promotion next year.
UPDATE:
Mrs Fields now has Christmas stuff up......that was damned fast work on their part.
Mrs. Fields bans Christmas from their products
Dear Kender,
Mrs. Fields has become the first company to ban Christmas from their products and promotion for this year.
When Diane H. of Michigan called Mrs. Fields and asked to speak with a supervisor in customer service about why they banned Christmas, the supervisor told Diane that they do not offer anything with Merry Christmas because they don't want to offend anyone.

So I have been hearing that posts about Ron Paul get lots of traffic. I am not a Ron Paul fan (although I do like his message about going by the constitution), so today I decided to post about Ron Paul, kind of like an experiment.
If the Ron Paul Experiment goes well, I may add in other keywords, such as sex. I wonder what kind of traffic a Ron Paul is Sexy post will garner?
What about Ron Paul Free Sex?
I bet that one gets lots of different hits......betcha never thought you'd see those words in the same sentence huh?
I will let you know if the Ron Paul idea works out.

Stop the Memorial Blogburst: Why only 38 Memorial Groves?

Edit Post
One prominently advertised feature of the Flight 93 Memorial is the "40 Memorial Groves," one for each of the murdered heroes:
Why then does the actual design only contain 38?
The Memorial Groves are built into the crescent of what was originally called the Crescent of Embrace. The crescent forms part of the symbolic heavens in architect Paul Murdoch's crescent and star shaped design. Infidels cannot be memorialized in the Islamic heavens, so the 38 Memorial groves have to be a memorial to someone else. Who?
It is a simple geometric fact that a line across the most obtruding tips of the crescent of Memorial Groves points approximately to the White House:
A line across the Memorial Groves has the same slope (129° clockwise from north) as a line between the crash site and area of Washington DC that contains the Pentagon, the White House and the Capitol.
Notice also that the 38 groves can be seen as a set of 19 nested crescents. Take two groves away from the arc of 38 and a line across the tips of the remaining 36 will also point to the White House. Ditto for 34 groves, 32, etcetera, down to 2. One nested crescent for each of the nineteen 9/11 terrorists, each pointing to Washington, the specific target of the Flight 93 and Flight 77 terrorists and the symbolic target of all nineteen 9/11 terrorists.
Architect Paul Murdoch proves that he intends the 38 groves to be seen as a set of 19 nested crescents by surrounding the Tower of Voices with its own set of 19 nested crescents:
The Tower array contains nineteen nested crescents of various lengths, some as short as two trees, the same as with the Memorial Groves. Using arcs as short as two trees long is Murdoch's trick for hiding the number of nested crescents in the Tower array. It isn't until one finds the 19 nested crescents in the Memorial Groves, where the shortest crescent is made up of only 2 groves, that one knows to count the pairs of trees as crescents.
The Tower array also contains four single trees, giving special recognition to the four Flight 93 hijackers.
If anyone wants to think that this is coincidence, that is fine. (If not for all the other Islamic and terrorist memorializing features in the design, it might even be reasonable.) But even if it is coincidence, the American people still need to know that the planned Flight 93 memorial does in fact contain two sets of 19 nested crescents, and decide for themselves whether it is okay that the memorial contain elements like this that can be interpreted as honoring the 9/11 terrorists.
Fuller explanation of the Murdoch's 19-nested-crescents theme here.
What can you do? Some suggestions here.

So I haven't been around much, but that all ends now. I am back. And for your enjoyment today we get to see the ACLU smacked down for their sad attempt at getting the Bush administration in trouble for their policy of extraordinary rendition.
It seems a german citizen claimed that the CIA abducted him, drugged him and sent him to9 a prison in a third world country where he was tortured and finally released on a hilltop in another country in a case of mistaken identity.
The Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the case without comment after the Bush Administration said that if the case were not dismissed it would threaten state secrets.
What I want to know is WHY a group that calls itself the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union is so concerned with the civil liberties of a german citizen. The last time I checked our civil liberties did not apply to the citizens of other countries, and the ACLU is not the arbiter of international law. We'll ignore the fact for the moment that international law is NOT what our government should worry about when they are making decisions about how bes to protect the country.
In a related story (related because people that obviously care more about their beliefs than the security of this country once again have caused our government to have a harder time tracking our enemies actions) a slip of the lip caused what amounted to an internal Al-Q intranet to shut down when it was revealed that the U.S. Government was watching their sites and gleaning intel from them without them knowing they had their security breached.
The ACLU, the NYT and other groups and organizations that fight against our government on the GWOT are basically attacking freedom and the safety and security of this nation, putting Americans in harms way in their misguided attacks on our governments attempt to track and deal with terrorists.
What I want to know is this;
When the islamists get control and impose sharia law, will the ACLU have the balls to stand up and say "no way achmed", or do you think it more likely that they will realize that speaking against the caliphate is a death sentence?
I am betting they will shut up and become good little dhimmis.

Put Up or Shut Up--The Plan to Destroy the Democratic Socialists

Edit Post
I was going to call this post "Put Up Or Shut Up, The Master Plan to Utterly Destroy the Democratic Socialists and Rake Hillary and Her Ilk into the Dustbin of History" but that was simply too long of a title.
Like most men I do a little contemplating each and every day, usually while sitting in traffic or on the can. Men think best when they are either under pressure or sitting alone, and I have never known a man to get a good idea while a woman was around unless that idea involved said woman becoming nude at the earliest possible moment, but that is a post for another day.
So today sitting in traffic I came up with an idea so brilliant in its' simplicity, so utterly daring, so astoundingly forward thinking that if we can pull it off we will be considered, in the history books under Ideas that Saved the Republic, second only to the Greatest Generation that saved the world from Jewless Fascism.....or maybe the third greatest if you count the lads that fought the civil war....nono...fourth greatest (can't forget about the Revolution can we?) so we would, if we do this, be the fourth greatest generation of American Patriots ever.
Now before I get into this plan I must say it is going to take serious sacrifice. It is going to take ignoring principles and doing something you never thought you would be doing, but I am convinced that radical times take radical measures, and this plan, once it is unveiled in all its' glory, will save the republic and destroy democratic socialism. When I outline step two you are gonna wanna quit reading, but you must soldier on to step three, for that is where the plan gets brilliant.
Ready?
OK.
Step One: Start hiding assets. Liquidate and hide all assets as soon as possible. The reason for this will become apparent in step three.
Step Two: Vote for Hillary. DON'T STOP READING.
Step Three: The day after Hillary's inauguration get yourself fired, or if you have to just quit.
Step Four: The next day go apply for welfare and/or unemployment. The reason for hiding your assets is that the government only wants to take care of you once you can't take care of yourself, so you are gonna have to at least appear poor.
The Democratic Socialists say they can take care of us from cradle to grave, so I say let's call them on it. Let's refuse to work and let them worry about where all that money is gonna come from to take care of us. The upshot is once us conservatives aren't working we can spend all of our time protesting the government and demanding that they give us that free health care, housing and food that they seem to think are rights and not rewards for a life well lived.
Sure, the economy will crash, the government will fall into chaos and things will get really bad, but once this happens the platform of cradle to grave care that the Democratic Socialists tout will be shown as the dead end nation killing system that it is and we can vote in some real conservatives, get back to work and fix the country, thereby permanently ridding ourselves of the scourge of socialism that is set to ruin this once great republic.
Vote for Hillary. It may be our only chance.

Dodge Ball, Tag and Hugs--Scourges of the Modern Day School

Recently schools across the country started banning dangerous activities such as dodge ball, and tag.
Now we have another scourge of childhood that is going to go the way of the dodo, liberty and common sense.
Hugging.
That's right, hugging.
First off a tip o' me tam to Ogre.
Now for The Rant:
What kind of kids are we raising? With the reports yesterday out of The Boston Herald about doctors gathering lifestyle information about people from their children during exams to the insane tales of playgrounds banning dodge ball and tag, and now hugs, I fear we are creating a generation of pussified cry-babies that will be more than willing to prattle on to authorities about every little thing that scares them or that is deemed "wrong" or "dangerous."
Here's a short story for you. A friend of mine has a little sister. She was 12 when this happened. This little sister started being a bit rambunctious. Dad put down the hammer and grounded her and threatened, THREATENED to spank her. But the lovely teachers at her school informed her and her classmates that "your parents can't hit you and if they do or say they are going to then call child protective services."
So she did. They came out and told dad in no uncertain terms, "you can't spank her, and if you do we will take her away and put you in jail."
Result? One unruly child that once stated in front of me "You can't tell me what to do or else you will go to jail" as she walked her 14 year old ass out the door at 10 at night to go to a friends house. My advice to dad was give her tough love. Call the cops and have her picked up.
We are raising a generation of sissified cry babies, children brought up with government intrusion and direction at every turn, brainwashed to believe that government is the cure for all that ails you, there from the cradle to the grave.
We are creating a generation of children that, quite simply put, cannot think for themselves. It has been said that Freedom is only one generation from disappearing, that it must be nurtured like a flame lest it go out.
I fear we are watching the last flickering flames of freedom, and when they go out the world will truly be a dark, cold and scary place.
Now we have another scourge of childhood that is going to go the way of the dodo, liberty and common sense.
Hugging.
That's right, hugging.

Pennsylvania Newspapers Pretend There is No Direction to Mecca
In September 2005, a half dozen different bloggers verified that a person facing into what was originally called the Crescent of Embrace memorial to Flight 93 would be facing almost exactly at Mecca. Some surrounding trees have been added to the design, but the giant central crescent remains completely intact in the Bowl of Embrace redesign:
With Tom Burnett Sr. condemning the crescent design and refusing to allow Tom Jr.'s name to be used, there is now a big public controversy in western Pennsylvania over whether the giant crescent really is oriented on Mecca. In response, the Memorial Project has decided to deny that there is any such thing as the direction to Mecca, and Pittsburgh's two major newspapers are both backing up this transparent falsehood.
Professor Daniel Griffith, who is serving as a consultant to the Memorial Project, told the Post Gazette that: "anything can point toward Mecca, because the earth is round." …
He made similar statements to the Pittsburg Tribune Review and the Johnstown Tribune Democrat. None of these papers asked for a second opinion from any of the one billion Muslims who face Mecca five times a day for prayer, and it isn't that the media has been duped by Griffith.
Editors and reporters at both the Post Gazette and the Tribune Review are fully aware that a host of bloggers have independently verified the Mecca orientation of the crescent design. It was actually the Tribune Review that first commissioned Professor Griffith to analyze the blogosphere's Mecca-orientation claims. Alec Rawls, who has written a book about the many Islamic and terrorist memorializing features in the crescent design, has a copy of Griffith's report for the Tribune Review posted online. The first thing Griffith does is calculate the direction to Mecca:
I computed an azimuth value from the Flight 93 crater site to Mecca of roughly 55.20°."Azimuth" is the technical term for "direction," measured in degrees clockwise from north. Now Griffith is denying that there is any such thing as the direction to Mecca, and the Tribune Review refuses to tell its readers that Griffith is contradicting the report that he wrote for them.
The Post Gazette is even more outrageous. Rawls was told by Post Gazette reporter Paula Ward that she and her editors saw all the blog posts on the Mecca orientation of the Crescent of Embrace back in September 2005 and decided not to publish this explosive information. (Crescent of Betrayal, download 3, p. 108.) At the same time, the Post Gazette was running editorials that called critics of the crescent paranoid bigots:
But like those who look at innocent kids trick-or-treating at Halloween and see only the devil's work, a few small and suspicious minds couldn't look past the crescent to see a remarkably sensitive design. When Tom Burnet Sr. asked the American people last month to please take his and Mr. Rawls' warnings about the crescent design seriously, the Post Gazette responded with an editorial titled: "Efforts to sully Flight 93 memorial deserve scorn."
What is the significance of a crescent that a person faces into to face Mecca? Such a structure is called a mihrab, and is the central feature around which every mosque is built. That is why the surrounding trees added in the Bowl of Embrace redesign do nothing to alter the Islamic significance of the design. You can plant as many trees around a mosque as you want and it will still be a mosque.
One local paper actually did fact-check the orientation of the giant crescent and validated the Mecca orientation claim in print, but the larger papers are all refusing to pass this fact checking on, or to do their own, even though it is simple one-two operation. All that Tribune Democrat reporter Kirk Swauger had to do was use the Mecca direction calculator at Islam.com to print out a graphic of the direction to Mecca from Somerset PA, then place this print out over the Crescent of Embrace site-plan PDF on his computer screen:
The green circle, marked with the qibla direction (the direction to Mecca), is from Islam.com. Graphic shows that a person standing at the midpoint between the most obtruding tips of the crescent structure and facing into the center of the crescent (red arrow), will be facing almost exactly at Mecca. (Hat tip Sarah Wells.)
As Swauger put it in his news article:
[Rawls'] claims seem to be backed up by coordinates for the direction of qibla from Somerset that can be found on Islam.com. When superimposed over the crescent in the memorial design, the midpoint points over the Arctic Circle, through Europe toward Mecca.Having suppressed this information for two years, Pittsburgh's major newspapers are desperate to keep it suppressed now, or they will be ruined. Thus they find themselves camped out on the very spot that the blogosphere ranged with its artillery two years ago. They know full well that the Mecca-orientation of the crescent has been verified numerous times and are counting on their control of public information to keep this knowledge from getting out to the general public.
The challenge to bloggers could not be more overt. Can the blogosphere retrieve its earlier fact checking from the memory hole and bust these news frauds? Easy and permanent access to existing fact checking is the blogosphere's natural advantage, but we still have to take advantage of it.

If you want to join us outraged protesting bloggers

- in objecting to its pointing to Mecca and the terrorists' intended target,
- in objecting to dishonoring the memory of the people who fought the terrorists on Flight 93
- in pointing out how Paul Murdoch cleverly and symbolically cast the passenger and crew out of the Islamic heavens in the design while the terrorists are inside the Islamic heavens
- in pointing out how the date and the site are dedicated to the terrorists

Riddle me this
What was Paul Murdoch, the design's architect, thinking? What was his ulterior motive? When controversy over the original name "Crescent of Embrace" and the bald Islamic symbol planted on the crash site brought a public outcry, the entire memorial was hastily re-titled "40 Memorial Groves."
As Alec is apt to do, he's having some fun with this: So why only 38 Memorial Groves?
His answer should appear today at Error Theory, go check it out!
